8 TV shows to binge-watch over Thanksgiving break

8 TV shows to binge-watch over Thanksgiving break

Hey, girlies! So sorry for not posting for a while!  I have decided to change my posting schedule from every Wednesday to every other Wednesday! Also, I have been absolutely swamped with schoolwork and just couldn’t keep up. Luckily, Thanksgiving break is coming up and that means a whole week of no school! To pass the time, I have compiled a list of 8 TV shows to binge-watch over Thanksgiving break.

This is such a much-needed break! I don’t know about y’all, but school has really been getting to me. Junior year has been- to say the least- exhausting. So, in order to relax and have some lazy vibes this Thanksgiving, I’ve gathered 8 feel-good shows for you to watch!

WARNING: All these shows are highly addictive and you will most likely be glued to your computer for the following amount of time…

8 TV shows every teen needs to watch over break

1. Emily in Paris

The first show is Emily in Paris. This series is a Netflix Original. I’ll be honest, it is slightly cheesy, but sometimes cheesy is good. I binged this show in less than a week and was always entertained! If you are looking for a girly romance show with some humor, then this is perfect for you. Also, the title of this show makes it sound much more pg than it is (it is actually TV-MA which is really funny).

Emily is Paris is pretty much exactly what the title sounds like. It is about a young woman who moves to Paris for work and her experiences she has while only being able to speak English, having no friends there, and not knowing a thing about France. It is honestly super funny and I really loved watching it!

2. The Great British Baking Show

Are you in the baking spirit? Do you have a weird obsession with British shows (no? Just me?)? Well, I’m sure we have all heard of The Great British Baking Show before, but if you haven’t then… what are you doing with your life lol.

This show is great for when you don’t really feel like focusing on a storyline, but just want to watch something. Also, if you love baking, then this can really get you into the baking spirit. As someone who’s horrible at baking, I can say this isn’t always a good thing (if you ask my family at least), but Thanksgiving is all about food! So get into that baking spirit and whip up something nice and yummy! You can also watch this show while you’re cooking, which would make baking 10x more exciting.

3. Grand Army

Next, we have Grand Army. Grand Army follows multiple high school students in Brooklyn who are struggling with family, identity, sexuality, and the aftermath of sexual assault. This show is raw and highly relatable. It will make you cry, laugh, and smile!

It has all the feels and I haven’t found anyone who doesn’t like this show. My sister and I both binged it in 2 days (and we never like the same shows so that’s super impressive). Grand Army is perfect for anyone who wants to get invested in a story and get to know the characters. It is also a Netflix Original and was in the top 10 for a few weeks!

4. New Girl

Now, I haven’t watched New Girl in a while, but let me just say… it’s freaking amazing. When I sat down to write this post, I was going through my mind trying to come up with my most loved series of all time. This was definitely one of them.

New Girl is super easy to get into and doesn’t have a super complex plot so you can watch it while pretty much doing anything. It is about a girl who moves into an apartment with boy roommates. New Girl is all about their friendship and I would say it could be like a modern version of Friends, but better.

8 Netflix Series To Binge This Holiday Break

5. Outlander

Outlander is a show that I have so much freaking love for. It is amazing!! Outlander is about a woman who gets sent back in time and falls in love with someone during that time period.

This show is a perfect romance and adventure series. You will fall in love with the characters and never be bored! I got so invested with the characters and the plot, it was all I could talk about for a few months!

6. Game of Thrones

Okay, so I know everyone talks about Game of Thrones, but it is literally the best show ever. Game of Thrones is so amazing and I really don’t know how to express how much I love it in words. I binged the whole show over the summer with my dad and every night at the dinner table we would talk about it.

Game of Thrones has a very complex plot and is a fantasy show (sort of). I have never cried so much and been so attached to so many characters. Tbh, I truly didn’t have one favorite character because I loved them all and the character development was great. I highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest watching it!

7. Reign

So, I’m not usually someone who can rewatch shows and still like them, but this is not the case with Reign. I think I have watched the whole show 3 times and each time I do it gets better. Reign is so freaking good!

It is a historical drama and the romance in it is amazing. You will fall in love with the characters and it’s so cool to see how much they change. Also, the intro to the show will be forever engrained in my mind (What can I say? It’s super catchy!).

8. Dash & Lily

Lastly, we have Dash & Lily. Personally, I think they should have named the show Lily & Dash, but that’s beside the point. This was the most recent series that I have finished. It is perfect for the holiday season and will put you in a good mood.

It is pretty cringey, but it’s worth it. I’m someone who enjoys watching cringey shows, so if you’re like me, then you will love this! It is pretty pg, so if you are worried about that, you are good to go! Also, this movie will get you into the holiday spirit, so it’s super fun and easy to watch!
