You know that time we all try to forget? It could be some of the best 4 years of your life or the worst.

Are you a teen girl…

  •  looking for guidance
  • tips & tricks
  • or wanting to read light and enjoyable lifestyle posts

Well, lucky for you, my friend, you’ve come to the right place!

This blog, Cara A Carmen, will include all of these topics and more! Make sure to check out the menu on the top and bottom of this page to find categories such as “lifestyle” and “highschool”.

Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself (oops, how embarrassing)! Hi, I’m Carmen Applegate, a teen girl from Kentucky (wheew, that was a close one!)!

about me

I’m here to help other teen girls (like yourself) navigate through this weird time and be a shoulder to lean on.

This blog started out during the quarantine of 2020. I wasn’t able to do any of the activities I was wanting to do, so it was time to get creative.

That’s when inspiration struck… I should start a blog, but not just a blog about me, a blog to help other highschool students and relate to them!

So here I am, a newbie blogger with a passion for connecting to other teens!

You might be wondering, what exactly is Cara A Carmen? What does it mean?

Well, my friend, let me tell you.

Cara A Carmen wasn’t my original blog name. When I first started out it was “Blogging With Carmen” (yes, I know. My creativity was out of this world), but that got bland very quickly as you can imagine. So, I did what any sane person would do, I spent hours thinking of the perfect name (and when I say hours, I mean hours).

Then, I finally got it. Cara A Carmen is based off of the Spanish phrase, “cara a cara” meaning face to face. Genius! (I fell in love.)

*insert clapping here*

Oh, thank you! You are too kind!

So, before you start exploring the depths of the internet or (hopefully) many posts on my page, don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest! Also, remember that as teen girls we are all in the same boat filled with borderline TikTok addictions, Timothee Chalamet obsessions, and identity crises. So, just remember you don’t have to go through it alone! If you ever need someone to talk to then feel free to contact me! I’ll be right here waiting!
